Product Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask

The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask
The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask
Few years back, when I first entered The Body Shop i was very fascinated with their range of products. Back then I had very oily-acne prone skin so they suggested me the Tea Tree range and honestly I was hooked on to the face wash for years together and then I got bored of using the same thing! Happens to
me most of the time. I had not tried the mask at that time because I was very ignorant towards skin care. But now I am obsessed with my skin, I can do anything to keep it acne free! yes anything...

While I was at The Body Shop I happened to see the mask in one corner and I felt that I could try the Tea Tree range as I have used it in the past and have quite liked it. So this TBS Tea Tree Face Mask comes in a green tub packaging. The consistency of the mask is like a thick mousse or whipped cream types! Its soft green in color and smells minty, fresh kind. You need a very little of it to cover the entire face. The SA told me to use it weekly twice but I stick on to weekly once. It does lift up the dirt and makes the face squeaky clean. I cannot really say it tightens the pores but again it does not claim anything regarding the pores. It does calm down the breakouts to a large extent. I some times use it as a spot treatment when I see a pimple popping up! Wola it dries the pimple and compresses it in just a day.

Initially when I saw that it contained alcohol I was skeptical to use it. What if it made my skin too dry? But fortunately nothing of that sort happened. It did not dry my skin or gave stretchy feeling infact it made my skin pretty soft and kept oiliness under control. I apply this mask on clean washed face. It gives a tingling sensation for a few seconds and then it does not bother.

Price: Rs. 895 for 100ml.

Pros:

1. Calms any breakouts pretty quickly.
2. Keeps oiliness under control but in the same time does not make the skin dry or feeling stretched.
3. It lifts up all the impurities and dirt from the skin making it feel and look clean.
4. It can be used as a spot treatment to calm down active acne pop ups.
5. The texture of the mask is mousse like.. Easy to apply.

Cons:

1. The packaging isn't very hygienic.
2.  Contains alcohol which might not suit many.
3. It does nothing to the pores * sobs in a corner*

Recommendation:

I would recommend this to anyone who has oily skin that breaksout often then this could be a saving grace. Quite easily  availble and quite affordable too!
