My hair care routine keeps fluctuating because I kind of get bored of using same thing for a really long time. But this L'Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Cellular Shampoo & Masque have always been my favourite.

For the record, I have very fine, wavy and extremely frizzy hair with super dry ends and an oily scalp. So now you know I have the most complicated hair. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week depending on the condition of my hair. If I use too often then my hair tends to get very very dry. Also I don't use just one kind of shampoo and conditioner, I use other products too. I will do a whole Hair Care post in the coming days.

L'Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Shampoo.

L'Oreal Professionnel describes this as 'Repairing shampoo for very damaged hair. The formula with Lactic Acid, cleanses damaged hair and leaves hair feeling stronger, more supple and looking shiny as if transformed.'

This is a hydrating shampoo for dry/damaged hair. The shampoo has a light yellow hue to it and has a thick consistency. I need about a coin size of product, it lathers well, smells very good and rinses off easily. This is not a Paraben-Free or SLS free so I would say its mildest shampoo, but its gentle enough to use 2-3 times a week. It cleanses oil/dirt effectively  without drying the scalp or the ends. There is no tangible build up and also it makes my hair super soft . But following up with the conditioner keeps the ends manageable.

It comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a flip open cap that fits in with a click. The bottle is very travel friendly.

Price: INR 500 for 250 ml.

L'Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Masque.

L'Oreal Professionnel describes this as 'Repairing masque for very damaged hair. The formula with Lactic Acid, instantly conditions damaged hair and leaves hair feeling stronger , more supple and looking shiny as if transformed. Lactic Acid is able to create saline bonds between the keratin chains exposed in the cortex of damaged hair fibres.'

This is something I get confused about L'Oreal masques - are they conditoners or masks? Anyways I use this after shampooing my hair and treat it as conditioner cum mask. Most days I apply this on the ends after shampooing as a normal conditioner, that is leave it for 2 mins and rinse it off. But once in a week I like to leave the masque on for 10 mins and rinse it off for adding some extra moisture to the ends.

The consistency of the masque is thick, balm like. I use little bit of it else it weighs down my hair. This also smells quite good and is easy to rinse this off. The mask makes my hair really soft and supple, the kind I like to run my fingers through. If you oily scalp, care should be taken that the product should not touch the scalp. I kind of love this masque quite a lot. It keeps my otherwise frizzy hair quite manageable and tamed.

Price: INR 600 for 200 g.

Recommendation:

I will recommend this product if you have extremely dry/damaged hair. If you are particular about the shampoo/masque being Paraben and SLS free then this may not be for you. However I find this shampoo/conditioner to be very hydrating, it keeps my dry ends soft and supple. This also takes care of my frizziness.

I would rate this 3.75/5.
